About the role

As an Electrical Engineer supporting the TCDC/VCDC NPD Pod, you will play a key role in new product development and margin expansion initiatives for Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) and Computer Room Air Handler (VCDC) products. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to concept development, electrical design, design verification, and product line enhancement activities that improve product performance, manufacturability, and year-over-year margin across the data center product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and support engineering efforts from early concept development through product validation and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Support new product development engineering activities for Airside Data Center TCDC and VCDC products, with primary focus on electrical design and integration.
  • Contribute to concept development, electrical design, and design verification activities for new products and major product enhancements.
  • Support engineering projects that improve the capability, performance, manufacturability, and competitiveness of the TCDC and VCDC platforms.
  • Develop and review electrical design content, wiring concepts, component integration requirements, and related engineering documentation in support of development programs.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop accurate drawings, models, documentation, and product configurations.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, manufacturing, product management, lab, and other engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support business objectives.
  • Support engineering changes for new and existing products, including documentation updates, design reviews, and design standardization efforts.
  • Support problem solving and root cause analysis for design, quality, and reliability issues.
  • Participate in design verification, qualification, and validation activities to ensure products meet performance, safety, and customer requirements.
  • Incorporate manufacturing, production, and field feedback into future product designs and product line improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and support opportunities for year-over-year margin improvement.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed with quality, accuracy, and urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in design engineering, product engineering, or new product development is required.
  • Experience supporting electrical systems, controls integration, or related product design activities is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time is required.
  • Technical aptitude in product design engineering, product development, and product support.
  • Experience supporting new product development, product enhancement, or margin improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, product documentation, bills of material, and engineering drawing/model processes.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, design, operations, manufacturing, product management, and lab teams.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting product validation, qualification, and continuous product improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make progress across several concurrent assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to support change and drive results.
  • Experience in HVAC, air handling equipment, data center cooling products, or related engineered product environments is preferred.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

Pay

Annual Base Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $126,200.00 (salaried position). Compensation depends on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
