Responsibilities
- Experience from stacking and racking of servers to battery/power.
- Able to work on multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines and ensuring uptime.
- A penchant for leading projects and can work autonomously under the customer direction, written or verbal, on servers/routers/switches.
- Supports the delivery of data center services including colocation, telecommunications services, and deployment of additional services to customers and internal business systems.
- Acts as a technical and operational contact for data center customers, vendors, and carriers as it relates to colocation, connectivity, and network products and services.
- Carries out remote hands task under the direction of the Network/Engineering Infrastructure Manager and IT Manager necessary to support internal networks, IT infrastructure, computers, electronics, and telephone systems.
- Conducts activities inside IT and telecommunications rooms or cabinets such as the installation of IT and network hardware, making or running patch cables, and verifying or testing cable paths.
- Covers access to and work within the facility with third-party contractors, vendors, and carriers related to structured cabling installation, circuit delivery and equipment installations in IT and telecommunications rooms and customer space.
- Supports offsite points-of-presence at remote locations and aids in operations, administration, and maintenance of infrastructure, network equipment, and tasks related to the delivery and support of network services.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience
- Experience in Data Centers and co-location environments managing hardware assets.
- Demonstrable project management experience with the ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines.
- Experience with a large variety of different vendor hardware: servers, storage, and network equipment.
- Experience in contributing to detailed project plans for programs involving cross-functional teams and challenging requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate issue resolution across departmental teams.
- Experience coordinating vendors.
- Experience with Asset Management Systems.
- Experience in managing inventory of cable, power cords and other infrastructure items.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks.
- Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors.
- Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses.
- Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables.
- Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow.
- Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection.
