Data Center Mechanical Technician

As a CBRE Data Center Mechanical Technician, you will maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment through routine preventive maintenance inspections and repairs at a major, highly efficient data center campus located in Winding Woods Commerce Park.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, first shift, eight-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems equipment and facilities.
• Assist with modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs. Utilize available systems and track completion.
• Support energy management by taking measures to ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and items needed to complete work orders.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
