About the role

Join a dynamic team as a critical enabler of the world's most advanced cloud computing infrastructure. In this role, you'll maintain the heartbeat of data center operations by ensuring seamless logistics and inventory management that directly supports technology deployment and maintenance efforts. The Logistics Specialist is pivotal in inventory management, serving as the primary point of contact for parts management, including receiving, inventory control, and distribution to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver high standards for safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing.
  • Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations.
  • Maintain precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
  • Understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, and maintain high quality.
  • Operate powered equipment (e.g., forklift or cherry picker).
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work is typically in a warehouse or data center environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Occasionally assist in loading and unloading shipments.
  • Occasionally exposed to cold or hot weather.
  • Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
  • Temperatures range between 60 and 90 degrees and may occasionally exceed 90 degrees.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of logistics or other relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Software / Inventory Management Software.
  • Familiarity with waybills and shipping procedures with transport companies.

Schedule

Availability to work on weekend shifts.

Pay

  • USA, IN, New Carlisle: $24.27 - $42.54 USD hourly
  • USA, MS, Canton: $21.87 - $38.31 USD hourly
  • USA, OH, New Albany: $24.27 - $42.54 USD hourly
  • USA, OR, Umatilla: $24.27 - $42.54 USD hourly
  • USA, PA, Berwick: $24.27 - $42.54 USD hourly
  • USA, VA, Sterling: $24.27 - $42.54 USD hourly
