Data Center Lead Technician

About the role

As a DC Deployment Team Lead, you will provide onsite leadership for deployment teams executing complex data center and network infrastructure projects. This role combines technical expertise, team leadership, project coordination, and customer engagement. You will direct daily activities, assign work, track project status, remove obstacles, and ensure all deployments are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite deployment teams in executing data center and network infrastructure projects.

• Manage relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Prioritize competing priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Document deployment activities, validate implementation success, and maintain project records.
• Identify issues, remove barriers, and drive projects to successful completion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in data center deployments, structured cabling, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, infrastructure installations, hardware deployment, or related technical environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading field teams, installation crews, or deployment technicians.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Proven experience managing onsite teams and coordinating activities across multiple workstreams.
• Experience tracking project status, schedules, deliverables, risks, and escalations.
• Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team-development capabilities.
• Experience driving successful project outcomes in fast-paced environments with aggressive timelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while leading large cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with high-growth, large-scale deployment environments and complex infrastructure implementations.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Schedule

This is a contract position based in Hermiston, OR, and is fully onsite.
