Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Manager, Infrastructure Delivery

Key job responsibilities

• Manage a group of technicians who are installing and building server rack capacity for our customers.
• Ensure the highest levels of performance for the team and provide both technical and leadership expertise.
• Deliver capacity to existing Data Centers.
• Help build and bring online new Data Centers.
• Constantly improve all processes and procedures.
• Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
• Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
• Ensure adherence to and exceeding of local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centers.
• Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of Data Centers and utilize these metrics to drive positive changes.
• Aid in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.

Essential Requirements

• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a data center technology role.
• 2+ years of TCP/IP networking, network cabling, fiber, optic types, and test equipment experience.
• 2+ years of management/team lead function experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Understanding of networking infrastructure topology.
• Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT-related field (e.g. computer science, network engineering, etc.).
• Experience with installing physical data center equipment such as copper/fiber cabling and racks.
• Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
