Job Summary

The Data Center Engineer position supports the installation of computing hardware and cabling systems in the Data Center computer room floor. Key responsibilities include analyzing hardware installation requests, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a deep understanding of the Data Center environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience installing rack-mounted computer hardware and related devices
• Experience installing Category 6/6A copper cabling and OM3/OM4 multimode fiber cabling
• Understanding of HVAC or electrical principles
• Willingness to be on call weekends and holidays, as needed
• Participation in an on-call production support rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience installing HPE, IBM, and/or Dell servers in a Data Center environment
• Experience installing network and security devices (Cisco, Palo)
• Experience with design and installation of structured cabling systems
• Experience with patch panels and cable mapping techniques
• Experience supporting electrical and mechanical systems in Data Center environment
• Experience participating as a team member on large projects

Potential Annual Pay with Bonus

$75,000 - $100,000 annually, plus a potential year-end bonus
