Data Center Engineer

Location: Norwalk, CT (100% Onsite) Schedule: 24/7 Operations Environment | Flexible Shifts Required (Including Nights & Weekends) We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Operations Engineer to support a large enterprise data center environment. This role is responsible for rack-and-stack activities, hardware installations, cable management, server support, asset tracking, inventory management, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. The engineer will support network devices, servers, storage equipment, and other critical infrastructure while managing work through ServiceNow tickets. Key Responsibilities Install, rack, decommission, and troubleshoot servers, switches, and hardwarePerform cable installation and cable management (Cat6/Fiber)Execute hardware upgrades, repairs, and component replacementsMonitor data center infrastructure and respond to operational issuesManage asset inventory and documentationSupport network connectivity troubleshootingUpdate and resolve incidents through ServiceNowWork with vendors and facility teams as needed Required Skills Data Center OperationsRack & Stack ExperienceHardware Installation & TroubleshootingServer SupportCabling (Cat6, Fiber Optic, Low Voltage)ServiceNow Ticket ManagementAsset Management & Inventory ControlNetwork Connectivity Troubleshooting Preferred VMware experienceMainframe exposureDCIM/Monitoring tools experience Education Bachelor's Degree preferred This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on data center environment and is comfortable working in a mission-critical 24/7 operation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwalk, CT. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
