Data Center Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a network engineer to join our team. This position is based in Madison, WI, and provides financial relocation assistance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure
- Ensure all IT equipment in our data centers runs efficiently and effectively
- Investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms
- Configure firewall rules
- Design and troubleshoot data center and WAN connectivity
- Leverage technologies like Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code deployments
Requirements
- Increased focus on infrastructure as code for deployments
- Expertise in Cisco IOS or NX-OS platforms (preferred)
- Previous information technology experience
- Prior data center, server, or network engineer experience (preferred)
Qualifications
- Strong documentation, project management, and communication skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- An extreme attention to detail and high level of organization
Skills
- Knowledge of a variety of mainstream technologies from Cisco and other vendors
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible
