As a CBRE Data Center Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain electrical equipment at a major, highly efficient data center campus located in the Winding Woods Commerce Park.

Schedule

This role follows a rotating shift pattern: four days on, three days off, then three days on, four days off, working 12-hour daytime shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is maintained and operating safely.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact the quality of your own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
