Data Center Development Associate Attorney

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients throughout all phases of complex data center development projects.
  • Handling commercial real estate and development transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and ground leases.
  • Reviewing title and survey matters and advising on land use, zoning, permitting, and entitlement issues.
  • Drafting and negotiating construction agreements, development contracts, commercial leases, utility agreements, and interconnection agreements.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure, real estate, finance, environmental, construction, and regulatory matters.

Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years of experience in complex commercial real estate or development transactions gained within a law firm.
  • Experience with project development matters such as acquisitions, leasing, permitting, zoning, construction, utilities, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in renewable energy, digital infrastructure, project finance, or public-private partnerships is highly desirable.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to manage sophisticated transactions involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced transactional environment.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
  • Previous experience working in a law firm is required.
  • Active Missouri Bar admission is required.
