Data Center Design Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Data Center Design Manager to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will oversee multidisciplinary design efforts for mission-critical data center projects, ensuring that complex technical requirements are translated into buildable, reliable solutions. The position will guide design development from early concept through construction documentation while partnering closely with stakeholders to align scope, schedule, and deliverables. It also plays a key role in validating power, cooling, controls, and commissioning outcomes to support high-performing facilities. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 annually Responsibilities Lead multidisciplinary design teams on data center projects Manage design development from concept through construction documentation Review and approve design packages and technical specifications Develop power distribution and control system designs for data centers Collaborate with stakeholders to align project objectives and deliverables Oversee construction compliance with design intent and quality standards Lead commissioning activities and validate system functionality Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Architecture, or a related field 7+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities or large-scale data center projects Strong knowledge of critical power and electrical distribution systems, HVAC, and building automation systems Experience managing projects from design through commissioning Understanding of project management principles, including scheduling and budgeting Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement benefits with 401(k) matching Educational reimbursement Parental leave Employee stock purchase plan Tax-saving options Disability and life insurance Pet insurance Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
