Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer will ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of critical data center facilities. This role involves maintaining and operating critical systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center operations and projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Document maintenance activities, system performance, and incident reports.
• Assist in the planning and execution of upgrades or expansions to the facility.

Requirements

• Proven experience in critical facilities or data center operations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications or technical training in facilities management or engineering is a plus.

Pay

$40–$45 per hour. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
