Data Center Construction QA/QC Manager
About the role
Our client is seeking a Data Center Construction QA/QC Site Manager with expertise in Multifaceted MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), Controls/PDMS, and QA/QC Program Leadership. Join a high-performing team providing program-level leadership and continuity across two large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects in Amarillo, Texas.

Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities will include 40% Program & Team Leadership, 40% Field Execution & Oversight, and 20% Stakeholder Collaboration & Client Management.
- Directing inspectors and overseeing the entire quality lifecycle—from design review to L1–L5 commissioning and turnover
- Working closely with Energy Marshals and key stakeholders to deliver world-class reliability in a fast-growing, mission-critical market
- Blending strategic program ownership with hands-on field leadership
Requirements
- 10+ years of total construction QA/QC experience, with 5+ years specifically in data center, mission-critical, or complex industrial/commercial projects
- 5+ years of direct experience in Quality Control for MEP equipment and Cx-QA/QC
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management role directing a multidisciplinary team of electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural QA/QC specialists and inspectors
- Strong hands-on background in Multifaceted MEP, Controls, and PDMS
- Demonstrated experience owning project-level QA/QC programs, including Project Quality Plans (PQPs), ITPs, NCR management, and system turnovers
- In-depth knowledge of data center Tier classifications (Uptime Institute Tier III/IV, N+1, 2N, 2N+1) and L1–L5 commissioning phases
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification
- Ability to work on-site in Amarillo, TX, commit to extended/shift work (nights/weekends during testing events), and travel up to 100% to client project sites as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field (desired)
- Professional certifications such as USACE CQM-C, ASQ CMQ/OE, CCM, Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), PMP, or LEED AP (desired)
- Exposure to Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and SCADA platforms (desired)
- Proficiency with industry platforms: CxAlloy, Bluebeam, Procore, Aconex, and MS Office (desired)
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes including IEEE, NEC, NFPA, NETA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NEBB, AABC, and ASME (desired)
