The Data Center Cleaning Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence and cleanliness standards of our controlled environments. This position ensures that all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors, are meticulously maintained to meet the strict cleanliness guidelines required in a data center setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines.
  • Continually monitor cleaning procedures to ensure all tasks are completed promptly and correctly.
  • Participate in continuous training: Data Center, technical skills, safety, and performance improvement.
  • Micro-clean all surfaces within the general and critical environment, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors.
  • Follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail, including documentation.
  • Identify deviations in cleaning and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances).
  • Review changes to SOP/SOW documentation and re-train as needed.
  • Assist in the cross-training of other Controlled Contamination Services personnel.
  • Perform all other duties as defined by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
  • Ability to learn and understand Scope of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Pass a background check and I-9 verification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Physical Requirements

  • Required to spend on-the-job time standing, walking, lifting/climbing, talking/hearing, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Required to reach with hands or arms.
  • Weight or force requirement: Up to 40 pounds.
  • Work environment may be loud (e.g., metal manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
