Key Responsibilities
- Guide projects through conceptual planning, schematic design, and document preparation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve challenges and ensure project success.
- Research and develop innovative architectural solutions for data center facilities.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, manage contract execution, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee AEoR teams to meet project milestones and quality standards.
- Identify and address potential risks, adjust project schedules, and ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in hands-on testing and mock-up reviews to ensure system installation and testing.
- Act as a key point of contact for communication and issue resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and share it with stakeholders.
- Evaluate existing facilities for conversion to data center environments.
- Foster collaboration among technical disciplines for integrated system designs.
- Lead onboarding and training of new design team members.
- Facilitate meetings to resolve critical issues and drive successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Construction Quality team for site reviews, system integration checks, and issue resolution.
Requirements
- A licensed Architect with over 8 years of experience in high-performance, mission-critical facility design, development, and operation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards, building regulations, and safety protocols for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in master planning data center campuses.
- Strong experience in structural design, particularly for steel, concrete, and mass timber structures.
- Proficiency in using design tools such as Revit/BIM, Bluebeam, Autodesk, or similar software.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical details effectively to diverse audiences.
