Data Catalog Integration Engineer
About the role
This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining integrations for data catalog platforms to ensure seamless data discovery and governance. It also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implementing scalable solutions, troubleshooting and resolving integration issues to maintain data integrity and availability, and automating data workflows and improving data pipeline efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations for data catalog platforms to ensure seamless data discovery and governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain data integrity and availability.
- Automate data workflows and improve data pipeline efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
- Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree obtained.
- 8+ years of experience in metadata management, integration architecture, developing APIs to connect to disparate systems, ideally with enterprise data cataloging solutions in complex environments (federal/regulated preferred).
- Proven experience in data integration and ETL processes.
- Strong knowledge of data catalog tools and metadata management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms and APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to meet the project’s client security and access requirements.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship is required.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning data workflows (nice to have).
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data/Information Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) (nice to have).
- Experience working in Agile development environments (nice to have).
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards (nice to have).
- Previous experience in cross-industry technology projects (nice to have).
Skills
- Programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms and APIs.
- Problem-solving and communication skills.
- Security clearance to work on federal/DoD projects.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this role is typically full-time, but some travel may be required up to 10%.
