About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Cable Technician to join an active team supporting structured cabling projects throughout the York, Harrisburg, and Lancaster areas. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, working with their hands, and building their cabling experience alongside an experienced Lead Technician. The team has a strong backlog of projects and is looking for additional help; this could turn into a longer-term opportunity for someone who performs well and is a good fit with the team. Most projects are located in York, PA and the surrounding areas, including Harrisburg and Lancaster, with job sites varying by project. The position is a contract role based out of Hallam, PA and is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Running and pulling copper cabling
  • Terminating keystones and modular plugs
  • Installing Cat 6 cabling
  • Working from ladders and lifts as needed
  • Assisting with low-voltage and structured cabling installations
  • Traveling to different customer job sites throughout the local area
  • Working alongside a Lead Technician on ongoing projects

Requirements

  • Some experience with structured cabling, low voltage, telecommunications, or cable installation
  • Comfortable pulling and terminating copper cabling
  • Able to use ladders and lifts
  • Reliable and comfortable working at different job sites
  • Willing to learn and take direction from experienced technicians

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
