Data Architect

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Cook up data definitions for data warehouse, BI tools, and clinical integration and quality reporting
• Align Data Governance program with corporate goals
• Act as a go-between for leaders and staff, ensuring smooth communication and coordination
• Pinpoint system or application needs
• Assess current business practices, user needs, and workflow processes
• Lead the design, development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise solutions
• Make recommendations on products, tools, services, protocols, and standards supporting data management strategy
• Create and implement a data management strategy for high data quality
• Develop and enforce methods and validation mechanisms for data quality and accuracy
• Identify and resolve data quality issues like uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Represent IS as a committee member

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, or business or technology field required
• Master's degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, or other business or technology field preferred
• 7 years of experience in data warehouse/business intelligence and internet/client server systems, including 3 years of RDBMS experience in data types, change control implications, performance optimization, and full life cycle phase software development required
