Data Architect

About the role

The organization is in an early-stage data maturity journey, having implemented a Databricks-based data platform in Azure, with Azure Data Factory for ingestion and Power BI for reporting. However, the environment has been highly project-driven, lacking defined data domains, structured data products, a long-term architectural roadmap, and a cohesive enterprise data strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of the enterprise data platform
• Establish standards, frameworks, and best practices
• Define roadmaps and future-state architecture
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate vague requirements into structured design
• Collaborate with an enterprise architect, data engineers, and leadership
• Help ensure the platform is scalable and ready for AI use cases

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Topeka, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $133,000.00 - $177,000.00/yr. Medical, dental, vision, 401K, 15% bonus, employee events, etc.

This is a hybrid position in Topeka, KS.
