Collaborate with business leaders to define data strategy, architecture, and governance frameworks.

Architecture Design

Design and implement data models, database architectures, and data integration processes to support business applications and reporting.

Data Management

• Ensure data quality, data governance, integrity, and security across the organization.
• Implement data management best practices and standards.

ETL Processes

• Identifies internal and external data sources to establish data pipelines.
• Works with product owners to efficiently retrieve data.
• Develops and maintains ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data ingestion from various sources.

Data Warehousing

• Designs and manages data warehousing solutions to support analytics and reporting needs.

Data Discovery

• Implements data cataloging and metadata management tools to improve data discoverability and usability across the organization.

Collaboration

• Works collaboratively across teams to understand quality and performance improvement agendas and corresponding data and analytics needs.
• Recommends appropriate solutions.

Documentation

• Maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, data flows, and metadata management.

Performance Optimization

• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring scalability and reliability of data solutions.
• Investigates performance issues with queries and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.

Technology Evaluation

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on data architecture.

Support

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI Developers for the most complex problems.
• Employ advanced SQL methods and innovative data visualization techniques.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience with ETL tools and data warehousing solutions (e.g., SSIS, Snowflake).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for building data applications and automating workflows.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

About Us

The Health Care District of Palm Beach County is an independent special taxing district that has served as a healthcare safety net for more than 36 years to fill in gaps in access to healthcare services. This unique healthcare system covers the entire county and provides a wide range of services such as nine community health centers (Federally Qualified Health Centers) which serve everyone regardless of ability to pay; school health teams in 172 public schools; a lifesaving Trauma Hawk aeromedical helicopter program; a rural, public teaching hospital, Lakeside Medical Center; an award-winning skilled nursing center; a ground ambulance program for Health Care District patients needing a higher level of care and the county’s Trauma Agency, which ensures quality outcomes within the county’s trauma system and leads initiatives to prevent traumatic injury.
