About the role

The Operations Data and Digital Transformation Manager serves as the key bridge between Operations and IT/Digital Business Transformation (DBT). This role ensures that digital tools, including complete Oracle Fusion support for the Business Unit Operations, ERP, MES, PLM, SIOP, and analytics dashboards are aligned to support production, supply chain, and quality execution. Responsible for driving data governance, process standardization, change management, and innovation, the Manager leads initiatives that enhance operational visibility, system reliability, and adoption of Industry 4.0 practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Strategic and Tactical Bridge Between Operations & IT
    • Able to translate operational needs, priorities and requirements into IT system specifications and enhancements.
    • Act as liaison between Operations and IT/DBT to ensure tools align with execution on the shop floor, planning, supply chain, and quality.
    • Ensure ERP, MES, PLM, and SIOP systems enable and continuously improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee Change Management & Adoption
    • Lead and/or execute rollout of digital technology into the Operations' environment.
    • Train Operations teams in digital tools, ensuring successful adoption and user confidence.
    • Gather and escalate feedback from shop floor, planning, and materials teams to IT/DBT.
  • Data & Process Alignment
    • Ensure governance of master data including BOMs, part numbers, routings, and inventory structures.
    • Work with Operations teams to help standardize and improve processes across Operations to match digital workflows.
    • Ensure digital alignment of Dashboards KPIs (inventory turns, OTD, utilization) and validate dashboard accuracy alongside the Oracle Fusion, Splash BI and other digital systems.
  • Program & Project Support
    • Serve as project manager for Ops-IT initiatives such as Oracle Fusion ERP, MES deployments, and SIOP adoption.
    • Coordinate readiness activities including testing, validation, and go-live planning.
    • Lead root cause analysis sessions when system issues disrupt operations.
  • Future-State & Innovation
    • Scout and evaluate emerging technologies such as IoT sensors, AI scheduling, AR/VR training, and advanced automation.
    • Ensure Industry 4.0 initiatives have operational grounding and deliver measurable value.
    • Promote continuous improvement through digital innovation, simplification, and automation.
    • Stay current and up to date on industry advances in digital transformation for manufacturing environments and advise management on recommended changes.
  • Undertake personal continuous training and development.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Immersive experience in an Oracle Fusion ERP operating environment is a must.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or IT/DBT.
  • Experience implementing and supporting digital business tools in a manufacturing environment, MES, PLM, or SIOP tools.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with system deployments or upgrades.
  • Strong knowledge of master data structures (BOMs, routings, inventory) and operational KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and tool adoption.
  • Strong communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with root cause/corrective action experience.
  • Forward-looking mindset to identify, test, and scale digital innovations.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in an office or factory environment (Constant).
  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $111,000 - $169,250.
