Data Analytics Engineer
About the role
The Data Analytics Engineer at Skanska plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise data initiatives and analyses. They focus on creating intuitive data models and solutions that enable business partners to easily understand and leverage high-quality, well-structured data. The ideal candidate collaborates with data analysts and engineers to develop visual representations of data patterns and insights, effectively communicating their significance to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Data modeling in data warehouses using modern design patterns
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL
- Experience with Power BI, including report building, DAX functions, and visualization best practices
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and understanding of Lakehouse concepts, Delta tables, Pipelines, and Orchestration
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with data modeling in data warehouses with modern design patterns
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including key components like Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL
- 3+ years of experience with Power BI, including report building, DAX functions, and visualization best practices
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Fabric and working knowledge of Lakehouse concepts, Delta tables, Pipelines, and Orchestration
- Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
