About the role
As an experienced Software Engineer on the Controls Engineering team, you will automate Compliance & Finance regulatory processes. You will use your analytical skills to build solutions that process large datasets from our data warehouse, generating accurate reporting and reconciliations. You will partner with Compliance, Finance, and Treasury teams to understand regulatory and financial obligations, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
As the team's tech lead, you will provide technical guidance, prioritize work, perform hands-on design and development, conduct code reviews, and evolve our technical standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Automate regulatory and financial reporting processes using large-scale data from our data warehouse.
- Design and implement reconciliations and other data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Finance, and Treasury stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Provide technical leadership, including prioritization, hands-on development, and code reviews.
- Establish and refine technical standards and best practices within the team.
Requirements
- At least five (5) years of software design and development experience, including CI/CD, source code control, testing, and quality management.
- High proficiency in Python, SQL, and database design.
- Experience working with data warehouses like Snowflake to build scalable, complex solutions.
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with non-technical stakeholders, product managers, and engineers.
- Ability to troubleshoot and logically assess problems to determine solutions.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience in post-trade automation, designing systems for complex data problems.
- Experience generating financial industry regulatory reports such as EMIR, MiFID, SFTR, CPR, or K Factor.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents base salary only and does not include bonuses or equity.
Schedule
This role requires in-office presence 4 days per week, beginning January 2, 2023.
