Data & Analytics Developer
About the role
The Data & Analytics Developer analyzes and integrates data from a wide range of enterprise systems to deliver high-quality insights and predictive models that support global business operations and program management. This role designs and implements data structures, machine learning solutions, and automated reporting to improve data quality, forecast outcomes, and enable proactive decision-making across engineering, planning, and operations teams.
This is a hybrid contract position based in Greenville, SC.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data from enterprise systems including SAP, Salesforce, Databricks, Power BI, financial, labor, and operational platforms to support business planning and decision-making.
- Perform data exploration, cleansing, validation, and anomaly detection to improve data quality, reliability, and consistency across multiple data sources.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define data requirements, identify relevant data assets, and prioritize key initiatives that require advanced analytics and reporting.
- Develop, validate, and maintain machine learning models for forecasting, predictive analytics, and scenario planning, ensuring they align with business objectives.
- Apply statistical methods and model evaluation techniques, including R², MAE, RMSE, and cross-validation, to assess and improve model performance.
- Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering to support workflow automation, knowledge extraction, and data-driven decision-making.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, model performance, and analytical findings to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and effective knowledge sharing.
- Analyze variances between planned assumptions and actual project execution data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and root causes across programs and projects.
- Develop automated monitoring and reporting solutions that track performance throughout the project lifecycle, providing harmonized insights to stakeholders worldwide.
- Translate complex analytical results into clear, actionable business recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Act as a critical bridge between engineering domain data knowledge, business planning, operations, and IT teams by defining required data, data structures, and AI/ML solutions that deliver the most value.
- Support centralized business operations and program reporting that provide predicted ranges of outcomes and scenario-based insights.
- Build scenario planning models that test critical business assumptions and track project execution through Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other enterprise systems.
- Identify gaps between planned project baselines and actual execution to drive proactive decision-making and optimization of HDPE operations program management activities.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and model implications clearly in written form to stakeholders and project teams.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python for analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning, including experience with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex querying, joins, data transformation, and analysis of intricate business logic.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, forecasting, and statistical analysis in a business context.
- Experience integrating and analyzing data from multiple enterprise systems and data sources, such as SAP, Salesforce, Databricks, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of model validation techniques and performance metrics, including R², MAE, RMSE, and cross-validation.
- Experience with data cleaning, anomaly detection, and large-scale data analysis to improve data quality and reliability.
- Understanding of semantic data models, data lineage, and enterprise reporting environments.
- Strong written communication skills to document methodologies, findings, and recommendations clearly for diverse audiences.
- Ability to develop and maintain machine learning models and scenario planning tools that support program management and operations.
- Capability to work across engineering, business planning, operations, and IT teams to define data requirements and structures.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience working with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to track project execution and performance.
- Background in building scenario planning models that test critical business assumptions and support risk and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering to enhance workflow automation and analytical processes.
- Experience in enterprise reporting environments that serve global business stakeholders.
- Ability to support HDPE operations or similar complex program management activities through advanced analytics and forecasting.
- Comfort collaborating within broader engineering and proposal-based teams in an inclusive, cross-functional environment.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, business planning, and IT teams using enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Databricks, Power BI, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project. Pay
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
