Data Analyst, Specialist

About the role

The Data Analyst, Specialist will support the Distribution organization within Personal Investor, focusing on transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals.
• Bridges business requests into analytical projects, ensuring projects are completed successfully.
• Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data, verifying its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness.
• Performs analyses of historical data to identify trends and insights using analytical methods.
• Develops and delivers visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into actionable solutions for business partners.
• Mentors, coaches, trains, and develops junior data analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Participates in special projects and fulfills other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience, with a graduate degree preferred.
• Expert-level visualization skills using tools such as Tableau.
• Strong SQL experience, with the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries.
• Experience in Python and advanced analytics (e.g., predictive modeling, forecasting, clustering).
• Demonstrated experience building executive-ready dashboards and visual solutions with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Desire and ability to collaborate closely with business partners to consult and gather requirements.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver actionable data stories to motivate data-driven decisions.
• Exposure to distribution, sales, or client data.
