Data Analyst Senior
Location: New York, NY | Pay Rate: $70/hr on W2

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SAS programs for automated reporting and advanced statistical analysis.
- Create and optimize SAS stored procedures and views for efficient data access.
- Maintain and enhance data interfaces and troubleshoot system issues.
- Design and execute complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large, multi-source datasets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver analytical solutions.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators.
- Identify trends and patterns to support strategic decision-making.
- Document technical processes and ensure data quality through cleansing procedures.
- Mentor junior analysts in SAS and SQL best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with SAS programming, including macro development and PROC SQL.
- 5+ years of advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins and query optimization.
- 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning.
- Experience in healthcare or financial services industries.
- SAS or SQL certifications are a plus.

- SAS: Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS Macro, PROC SQL
- SQL: Complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning
- Linux: Shell scripting, process scheduling
- Databases: SQL Server, Oracle
- API development and data visualization skills with Power BI or Tableau
- Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis
