Data Analyst I

About the role

This position analyzes current operational functions, proposes and implements improvements, maintains databases, and extracts data for analysis. You will run and review reports, analyze results, and support operational functions.

Logistics

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday role in a typical office environment at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC. Some travel between buildings and occasional out-of-town travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Extract data from multiple systems and departments using various data manipulation and extraction techniques for regular, cyclical, and ad hoc reporting.
• Perform research, analyze reports, and create statistical models for presentation and review.
• Summarize findings and communicate results to management.
• Identify operational inadequacies and use skills and resources to retool processes.
• Communicate with other areas regarding outcomes and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field or Associate’s degree plus 2 years of job-related work experience or 4 years of job-related work experience.
• Good organizational, customer service, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to use complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to acquire programming skills across various software platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Power BI experience.
• 2 years of related research and analysis experience.
• Negotiation or persuasion skills.
• Knowledge of or ability to acquire ICD9/CPT4 coding.
• Experience with SAS, DB2, or other relational databases.
• Developer knowledge or experience with Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Apps.
