About the Role
The Health Data Analyst position at Prime Therapeutics offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about healthcare analytics and data-driven decision-making. This remote role involves analyzing complex pharmacy benefit data, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine analytic methodologies, models, and reports that influence client outcomes and operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex data effectively to diverse audiences. This role is integral to Prime’s mission of simplifying healthcare and delivering value to clients and members alike.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret pharmacy benefit data, reports, and trends to support client and internal decision-making processes
- Partner with the analytics team to develop and implement analytic methodologies, models, and reports
- Create and optimize complex queries using Alteryx, including multiple table joins and formula development
- Investigate key drivers of benefit performance and provide insights to improve outcomes
- Support regulatory reporting requirements, including CMS reporting and bid support for Medicaid and Medicare programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products and enhance existing analytic tools
- Manage follow-up inquiries related to projects and data requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of analytic processes and methodologies
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data analysis capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy benefits management, healthcare analytics, reporting, or related fields
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and data manipulation
- Strong understanding of PBM industry trends and key metrics (e.g., PMPM, generic utilization)
- Experience working with large datasets, including pharmacy claims, medical, and financial data
- Familiarity with analytic tools such as Alteryx
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to varied audiences
- Ability to establish rapport and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
