They are looking for someone who can help turn that data into meaningful insight and real business impact. The Opportunity Our client is looking for a Data Analyst to join their growing Analytics team and help shape how they use data across the business. You’ll be part of the Retail Analytics squad, working closely with teams across two retail brands. You’ll play an important role in helping attract, serve and retain customers, using data to understand performance, identify opportunities and support better decision-making. This is a role with plenty of variety and ownership. You could be building a Power BI dashboard that gives a team instant visibility of performance, exploring a dataset to uncover an opportunity, or working with stakeholders to answer an important business question. Our client is looking for someone who doesn’t just report what the data says, but wants to understand why it matters and what we should do about it. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference across the business. Your work will include: Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and self-serve reporting, helping teams understand performance and make confident decisions. Using data to investigate business challenges, identify trends and uncover opportunities to improve performance. Writing SQL and using dbt to build and maintain robust data models. Taking ownership of analytical work from the initial business question through to recommendation, delivery and measurement of impact. Working with data owners and engineering teams to identify and resolve data quality issues. Helping shape requirements for new data pipelines and data feeds that enable better reporting and deeper insight. Facilitating workshops and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Turning complex analysis into clear, engaging and actionable insights. Helping build a stronger data-driven culture by encouraging teams to use data in their everyday decision-making. What We’re Looking For Our client is looking for someone who is curious, analytical and commercially minded, with the confidence to work with people across the business. You’ll ideally bring: 2+ years’ experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role. Experience creating interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik. Strong SQL skills. Experience with Python would be advantageous. Excellent Excel skills and good working knowledge of PowerPoint. A strong understanding of data modelling, including data grain, relationships, dimensional models and reusable metrics. The ability to take complex data and turn it into simple, compelling and actionable insights. Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ability to manage competing priorities and balance planned analytical work with urgent and ad hoc requests. A commercial mindset and the ability to connect analysis to customer outcomes, operational performance and financial impact. A curious and proactive approach – you’ll naturally want to ask questions, challenge assumptions and find out what the data is really telling you. The ability to work at pace, make decisions and take ownership of your work. Knowledge of the telecoms sector is desirable, but definitely not essential. Right to work in the UK. Why join this team? This isn’t a role where you’ll simply produce reports and hand them over. Our client wants analysts to be trusted partners to the business, helping teams understand what is happening, why it is happening and what we can do about it. You’ll join a collaborative Analytics team where you’ll have the opportunity to work with modern cloud data technologies, develop your analytical skills and see the direct impact of your work. As our client continues to grow, there’s plenty of opportunity to make your mark, take ownership and help shape how data is used across the business.
