Data Analyst
Overview
Need a self-motivated Data Analyst / BI Developer to join our Client's enterprise IT team. This individual will support data development initiatives, build and maintain reporting datasets, assist with high-level incident triage, and work closely with internal technical team members on business intelligence and operational support.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and datasets
- Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports
- Design data models supporting business reporting
- Analyze data quality issues and recommend improvements
- Perform high-level incident triage and troubleshoot data-related issues
- Investigate production support tickets using ServiceNow
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams to resolve issues
- Work closely with senior team members to support ongoing data initiatives
- Document processes, report logic, and technical solutions
- Aid with reporting enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills
- Strong SQL development experience
- Experience creating Power BI dashboards and visualizations
- ServiceNow experience (ticketing, incident management, or support)
- Experience building and validating datasets
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience supporting production environments

- ETL or data integration experience

- MSSQL Server experience

Typical Day Example
A Power BI dashboard is showing incorrect sales numbers. A ServiceNow ticket is opened. The analyst traces the issue through SQL queries and underlying tables. They determine whether it's a data issue, ETL issue, application issue, or user issue. They either fix it or route it to the appropriate development team.
