Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Data Gathering and Reporting: Assist in retrieving data from various sources and build reports and dashboards to visualize key metrics to system leaders.
- Participate in data management tasks by querying and merging datasets.
- Learn and develop proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Power BI, R, SQL, Microsoft Office, Python, and others.
- Data Extraction And Utilization: Collaborate with the team to develop a fundamental understanding of data sources and the data extraction process.
- Aid in data extraction and utilization efforts.
- Assist with contextualizing data and data flow automation.
Collaboration And Learning
- Work closely with data analysts and leaders to understand business needs and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to innovative data analysis projects and support the organization's journey towards becoming more data-driven.
Data Analysis Support
- Learn and provide support for data analysis tasks, such as data cleaning and statistical analysis.
- Contribute to data-driven hypothesis testing, A/B testing, regression analysis, and other statistical methods.
Effective Communication
- Participate in meetings and assist in presenting basic reports, findings, and analyses to stakeholders within the system.

- Education new staff regarding regulations or requirements of those functions that relate to their areas or departments, as directed.
- Train student interns in the department, as directed.

- Participate in hospital committees, performance improvement team meetings, and team projects, as directed.

Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, math/statistics, economics, psychology, etc.).
- 1-3 years of experience in a data analysis-related role.
- Strong interest in data analysis and a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Experience with at least one statistical programming language (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Stata, etc.).
- Experience querying data using SQL scripting.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
