Responsibilities

• Teach data collection methods, data cleaning, descriptive statistics, data visualization, spreadsheet analysis, SQL querying, basic statistical inference, pivot tables, and reporting dashboards.
• Explain data types, summary statistics, correlation analysis, and visualization best practices to prepare students for business analysis roles and data-driven decision-making.
• Guide students through importing and cleaning data, calculating summary statistics, creating charts and dashboards, writing SQL queries, and presenting actionable findings.
• Connect data analysis to real-world applications in marketing, operations, finance, and strategic business decisions.
• Adapt instruction using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, SQL platforms, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to support students from beginners to intermediate analysts.
• Identify and address common student challenges, such as handling messy data, choosing visualization types, and translating findings into business recommendations.
• Provide personalized instruction through 1-on-1 online tutoring or on-demand instant tutoring.

Requirements

• Advanced mastery of data analysis concepts, including data manipulation, visualization, and insight extraction.
• Ability to explain complex topics using multiple approaches and adapt to different learning styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Familiarity with data analysis curricula and common student challenges.
• Experience with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
