Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections at various stages and review records to ensure maintenance meets safety and airworthiness standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company procedures by checking components, materials, and workmanship.
- Perform visual inspections and use precision measuring tools to document findings.
- Ensure parts are correctly finished and configured.
- Coordinate with Engineering for documentation of repairs exceeding repair data.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment such as electronic ohm meters, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, torque wrenches, etc.
- Create additional discrepancies found during inspections.
- Perform computer data entry.
- Maintain inspection continuity sheets, temperature cure reports, and forms.
- Communicate discovered quality occurrences with other inspectors and supervisors.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent required.
- An Aviation Maintenance Technician certificate/s preferred.
- Experience navigating various computer electronic maintenance recording systems (such as Corridor).
- Experience accessing a variety of Aviation OEM data portals.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows computer systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, & internal company networking computer file systems.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
- Notify supervisor in advance if unable to work.
- Reliable transportation to work each day.
- Work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Qualifications
- Routine sitting, standing, walking, lifting (50 lbs. minimum).
- Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
- Troubleshooting or evaluating system operation.
- Working with others in a professional manner.
Skills
- Component repair techniques.
- Manufacturer’s maintenance manuals and engineering drawings.
- Precision measuring equipment (electronic ohm meters, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, torque wrenches, etc.).
- Computer data entry.
- Inspection continuity sheets, temperature cure reports, and forms.
