About the role
Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full-time DAS Technology Apprentice to join their team within the distributed antenna system (DAS) Technology Division. The position offers opportunities for growth and learning in DAS/Technology.
Responsibilities
- Install coaxial, UTP, and fiber-optic cables throughout new and existing buildings.
- Install DAS, Small Cell, and wired and wireless network devices under the supervision of the project foreman.
- Install equipment racks in telecom closets.
- Affix antennas and system components based on engineered design.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting, under supervision.
- Assist with completing connectivity and quality testing for coaxial, UTP, and fiber-optic cables.
- Use and maintain hand tools, specialty tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Follow instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
- Recognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner.
- Actively contribute to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
- Occasionally travel (up to 25%) as needed.
Requirements
- Knowledge of general construction and the use of hand and some power tools.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
- A desire to progress in the Information Technology Systems Division (ITS).
- Valid drivers license and a clean background.

Competitive pay is offered for this full-time position.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am – 4:30pm and Fridays 7:00am – 2:00pm.
