About the role
The Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) physician assistants and advanced practice nurses provide clinical care to patients in emergency and triage settings, during international DART medical responses. They also share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who are hurting.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients in emergency and triage settings, during an international DART medical response.
- Work in fast-paced environments, 7 days/week for extended hours while on deployment.
- Deploy to dangerous places and provide medical care in challenging living conditions.
- Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those affected by disasters.
Qualifications
- Maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
- Able to serve within a very fast-paced environment, 7 days/week for extended hours while on deployment.
- Willingness to work in unstable, insecure areas.
- Ability to work as a member of a team, particularly cross-culturally.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills in applicable fields (Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Midwifery, and Anesthesia).
- Experience in providing care in developing countries.
- Ability to work in challenging and fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
