About the role

The American Dance Institute seeks individuals passionate about dance education to join our team. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and a passion for dance.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of dance styles including ballet, hip hop, contemporary, tap, flamenco, break, jazz, Irish, Latin, musical theater, children’s creative, parent-toddler social/ballroom dance, k-pop shuffle, pbt (progressive ballet technique).
• Work with students in various age groups such as toddlers, young children, older children, teens, adults.
• Develop and implement lesson plans based on individual student needs and skill levels.
• Collaborate with other instructors and administrators to enhance the overall dance program.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
• Experience in teaching dance, preferably in a professional setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized dance training program.
• Previous teaching experience in a dance studio or similar setting.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
