Dance Instructor - Ballet

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach age-appropriate ballet classes for children ages 3-14.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Choreograph routines for the end-of-session dance performance.
• Work effectively with children, parents, and Recreation staff.

Qualifications

• Previous ballet training and experience is required.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to teach additional dance styles or classes is a plus.
• Passionate about ballet and enjoyment of working with children.

Benefits

• Paid preparation time is provided for each class taught.

Schedule

Thursday evenings, August 24 - December 5 (class times vary).

There is potential to teach additional dance classes throughout the week based on availability and program needs. Instructors who are interested may also have the opportunity to continue teaching during the Spring session.

Pay

$13.42 per hour
