Damage Prevention Technician

Our Damage Prevention Advisors are responsible for sites in which excavations are being performed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Dig Safely NY is called for utility mark-out and responded to accordingly
• Respond to CR753 when excavation is being performed
• Work with contractors on CR 753 daily
• Advise on corrective actions when necessary
• Reinforce positively when a proper dig occurs

Requirements

• A good safety background
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Basic computer functions
• Data entry
• Smartphone use
• Inspect equipment daily
• Daily work planning is a must

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills
• Outstanding safety/quality record
• High level of organizational skills, excellent time management skills, and the ability to focus on details
• Knowledge of all types of gas prints
• One-year experience locating gas assets preferred

Pay

The starting pay is $21/hr.

Schedule

This is a full-time position throughout the orange and Rockland County, NY area (Middletown, Nyack, Spring Valley, West Nyack).
