Responsibilities

• Ensure that Dig Safely NY is called for utility mark-out and respond accordingly during excavations.
• Work with contractors to follow CR753 guidelines during excavation.
• Advise on corrective actions when necessary and reinforce positive behavior when a proper dig occurs.
• Inspect equipment daily and manage daily work plans.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
• An outstanding safety and quality record.
• High level of organizational skills, excellent time management, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of various gas prints.
• One-year experience locating gas assets preferred.
• A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in confined spaces.
• Proficiency with technology.

Pay

The starting pay is $21/hr. for new technicians and up to $27/hr. for those with substantial prior experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time position throughout the Albany, Cohoes, Latham, Troy areas in New York.
