Damage Prevention Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure that NY 811 is called for utility mark-out and respond accordingly.
• Respond to excavations with machinery in accordance with CR753.
• Work with contractors on CR 753 daily, providing advice and reinforcement.
• Inspect equipment daily and manage daily work planning.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
• Proficient in iOS and Android devices.
• Outstanding safety/quality record.
• High level of organizational skills, excellent time management, and attention to detail.
• One-year experience locating gas assets preferred.
• Able to pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Pay

The starting rate is $20 per hour for new technicians.
