About the role

The Dairy Reproductive Specialist (AI Technician) – Part-Time position at GENEX Cooperative is responsible for providing professional and personalized artificial insemination service and breeding program assistance to members and customers. The role also involves selling GENEX semen, services, products, and programs to achieve sales goals and develop new business in the assigned sales area.

Responsibilities

• Provide artificial insemination (AI) services to members and customers
• Provide breeding program assistance to members and customers
• Sell GENEX AI services, semen, products, and programs
• Provide reproductive management expertise to members that will improve reproductive performance in their herds
• Consistently make farm visits with prospects to develop and gain new customers

Requirements

• Dairy background with breeding experience and heat detection on large farms preferred
• Aggressive sales and service person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Driver's License

Qualifications

• Must possess communication and people skills
• Computer skills are required; and ability to work with herd management software is a plus
• Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally

The position is 90% dairy emphasis and 10% beef emphasis.
