About the role

The Dairy Reproductive Specialist (AI Technician) at GENEX Cooperative provides professional and personalized Artificial Insemination service and breeding program assistance to members and customers, resulting in improved profit potential and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide Artificial Insemination (AI) services to members and customers
• Provide Breeding Program assistance to members and customers
• Sell GENEX AI services, semen, products and programs
• Provide reproductive management expertise to members that will improve reproductive performance in their herds
• Consistently make farm visits with prospects to develop and gain new customers

Requirements

• Strong dairy background with experience working with dairy cows
• Experience in heat detection on large farms
• Aggressive sales and service person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally
• Computer skills are required; and ability to work with herd management software is a plus

Qualifications

• Degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience is preferred

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position is 99% dairy emphasis and 1% beef emphasis, requiring frequent travel to dairy farms in Sawyer and Rusk County, WI.
