Dairy Queen Shift Leader

Job Summary

A Dairy Queen Shift Lead supports restaurant operations by leading the team during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining food quality and cleanliness standards. This role acts as a key point of support for the management team and helps keep shifts running smoothly.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members during assigned shifts
• Ensure guests receive fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Assist with training and coaching new team members
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and work areas
• Handle cash drawers, deposits, and basic shift paperwork
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and order accuracy
• Assign tasks and manage workflow to meet service goals
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed

• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and follow company procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Education and Experience

• Previous quick-service or food service experience

Working environment and physical requirements

• Must be able to stand during the entire work shift.
• Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.

Travel

Must be able to travel up to 10%.
