Dairy Focus Consultant (Open to remote)

About the role

This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise serving diverse businesses such as animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt, and Cargill joint ventures. The Dairy Focus Consultant will provide nutrition recommendations and support to customers during and after product sales, consulting directly with dairy farmers, their employees, and affiliated dairy representatives.

Responsibilities

• Inform customers of new products, services, and prices through a consultative approach to dairy nutrition and management.
• Support Cargill team members through collaborative efforts to service dairy customers.
• Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
• Build, monitor, and revise monthly performance of objectives versus budget and implement actions to reach them.
• Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.
• Build, develop, and maintain internal and external relationships with dairy producers, mills, and Cargill teammates.
• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, escalating more complex issues as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% to visit dairy farms daily.
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Dairy and animal nutrition experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Sales experience.
  • Consulting experience.

Compensation

The expected salary for this position is $63,880 – $76,120. Compensation varies depending on factors such as location, certifications, education, and level of experience, and may be adjusted for geographic differentials.

Batavia, NY – home‑office position with up to 75% travel to dairy farms throughout Western New York.
