D365 Business Central Senior Manufacturing Consultant
About the role
The role involves interacting daily with clients and participating in both short- and long-term client projects to lead and support ERP implementations for manufacturing environments. As a senior functional consultant and trusted advisor, you will analyze current-state manufacturing workflows, identify process improvements, and recommend practical ERP-enabled solutions aligned with client goals. You will translate business requirements into clear ERP functional specifications, configuration decisions, solution designs, and testing plans. You will lead discovery, design workshops, fit-gap sessions, conference room pilots, user acceptance testing, and client training sessions. You will partner with client operations, finance, engineering, warehouse, and leadership teams to align production, planning, and execution processes. You will support project leadership through status updates, issue/risk escalation, scope management, workstream planning, and client communication. You will mentor consultants and contribute to reusable methodologies, internal process improvement, templates, and manufacturing solution accelerators. You will apply technical proficiency around ERP manufacturing software and collaborate effectively with developers, architects, and integration resources. You will foster teamwork and maintain an inclusive environment for all team members.
Responsibilities
- Interact daily with clients and participate in short- and long-term client projects to lead and support ERP implementations for manufacturing environments.
- Serve as a senior functional consultant and trusted advisor across manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, production planning, shop floor execution, costing, and operational processes.
- Analyze current-state manufacturing workflows, identify process improvements, and recommend practical ERP-enabled solutions aligned with client goals.
- Translate business requirements into clear ERP functional specifications, configuration decisions, solution designs, and testing plans.
- Lead discovery, design workshops, fit-gap sessions, conference room pilots, user acceptance testing, and client training sessions.
- Partner with client operations, finance, engineering, warehouse, and leadership teams to align production, planning, and execution processes.
- Support project leadership through status updates, issue/risk escalation, scope management, workstream planning, and client communication.
- Mentor consultants and contribute to reusable methodologies, internal process improvement, templates, and manufacturing solution accelerators.

Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and operational processes, including experience in a consulting, implementation, manufacturing operations, or ERP support role.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in manufacturing processes such as make-to-stock, make-to-order, engineer-to-order, discrete manufacturing, production planning, BOMs, routings, capacity, inventory, and costing.
- 3+ years of experience with ERP manufacturing software; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to lead client-facing workshops, document decisions, guide stakeholders, and translate operational needs into scalable ERP solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and executive presence with client stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize, align with leadership, and manage multiple workstreams.

Pay
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $150,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
Schedule
Remote role with travel to client sites, as needed.
