D2SF US - Senior Investment Associate
D2SF is NAVER's corporate venture capital (CVC) team. We seek out startups tackling bold challenges alongside NAVER, support their growth, and drive synergies across NAVER's ecosystem. We focus on technologies poised to transform everyday life and industries across areas such as AI, robotics, spatial computing, entertainment, mobility, and healthcare. Our goal is to build sustainable growth between startups and NAVER that goes beyond financial returns.
About the role
As a Senior Associate, you'll be a core member of the investment team, supporting and leading deal execution, market analysis, portfolio operations, and synergy development. You'll deepen your venture investing expertise while gaining a broader understanding of how corporate strategy and investment work together. Over time, you'll continue to build the skills and network to grow into a Principal role.
Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing – Identify promising startups, cultivate relationships with founders and accelerators, and strengthen our deal pipeline
- Market & Competitive Analysis – Deep-dive into industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape
- Due Diligence – Lead and support investment memo preparation, data analysis, and expert coordination
- Synergy Development – Bridge portfolio companies and NAVER teams to surface and activate collaboration opportunities
- Portfolio & Team Support – Contribute to portfolio initiatives, work closely with senior investors, and provide guidance to junior team members as needed
Qualifications
- Genuine respect for founders and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Sharp analytical mind with a passion for technology and market dynamics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 5-9 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, VC, tech, startups, or related fields
- Strong English communication skills required; Korean language skills are a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or full-time experience in venture capital, growth equity, or corporate development
- Experience in building financial models and preparing investment presentations
- Strong curiosity about emerging technologies and global market trends
Pay
$150,000-200,000 per year
Schedule
Full-time, hybrid (Redwood City, CA)
