About the Role
The Business Relationship Leader (BRL) is a senior-level, strategic business partner responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met, and their expectations are exceeded. The BRL will focus on delivering business value, owning critical relationships, and serving as a single point of focus for the interaction between Digital & Information Technology (D&IT) and business partners.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for secure, resilient, and scalable digital capabilities while ensuring a positive customer experience for the D&IT department.
- Ensure internal client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within D&IT and leaders to develop and implement business strategies, strategic roadmaps, business cases, and value plans.
- Understand business operations and challenges related to technology and data management, and navigate the organization for partnerships and solutions.
- Serve as the strategic interface within D&IT to stimulate, surface, and shape business demand, ensuring potential business value is captured, realized, optimized, and recognized.
- Manage requests through the D&IT demand process.
- Coach business leaders to articulate their function's needs and requirements to advocate business performance, leverage digital capabilities, and foster positive experiences.
- Partner with Application Portfolio Managers, Service Delivery Managers, and Project Managers for execution and delivery.
- Work with Business Analysts and the Architecture team to develop and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps.
- Collaborate with organizational change management to ensure effective transformation and adoption for all initiatives.
- Provide strategic investment input related to Enterprise Wide Initiatives and corporate annual planning alignment with business strategies and goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (in any discipline) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role as a strategic partner, as well as with leadership and functional teams.
- 5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's in Business Administration or Information Technology.
- Experience in developing and managing a technology ecosystem.
- Experience working with digital and information technology teams.
- 10+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects.
- Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive experience.
- Demonstrable experience with digital and information technology technical tools.
- Experience developing strategic information technology roadmaps.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
- Strong project management skills.
Certifications
- Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM) preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
