About the role
The Cycle Counter is a hands-on inventory role responsible for performing scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts across AGS' production and distribution locations to maintain accurate, reliable inventory records.
Responsibilities
- Cycle Counting & Inventory Accuracy
- Perform scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts across assigned inventory locations at the Hoyt and Distribution Center sites
- Verify on-hand quantities against inventory system records with a high degree of accuracy
- Prioritize count schedules based on item velocity, value, and discrepancy history
- Use handheld scanners and inventory software to log counts accurately and efficiently
- Scan and log items into and out of the in-transit inventory location as they move between sites
- Flag counts that fall outside expected accuracy thresholds for follow-up
- Discrepancy Reporting
- Document count discrepancies clearly and hand them off to the Inventory Specialist for investigation
- Provide accurate, detailed count data to support the Inventory Specialist’s discrepancy investigations
- Documentation & Systems
- Maintain accurate, organized records of all counts performed
- Flag mislabeled, missing, or disorganized inventory locations to the Warehouse Operations Manager
- Support data integrity within the inventory management system
- Follow standard cycle count procedures and safety practices at all times
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, and shipping/receiving teams to schedule counts with minimal disruption to operations
- Communicate count results and discrepancies to the Inventory Specialist and Inventory Control Manager in a timely manner
- Support inventory-related questions and requests from other departments
- Physical Inventory Support
- Assist with annual and periodic full physical inventory events
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Continuous Improvement Support
- Support the ongoing inventory control restructuring, including new location mapping and process improvements
- Recommend process improvements to increase counting speed and accuracy
- Help maintain consistent inventory practices across the Hoyt and Distribution Center sites
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous inventory, warehouse, or cycle counting experience preferred
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently across multiple work areas and sites
- Comfortable using handheld scanners and inventory management systems
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/ERP systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills for cross-department coordination
- Excellent attendance and reliability
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Bending, twisting, reaching, and kneeling to access inventory locations
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Continuous mental and/or visual attention to counts and records
- Able to use handheld scanning equipment requiring dexterity
- Good hand-eye coordination

Salary & Bonus
- Base Salary Range: $19 - $21.50/hr (Range is based on experience, skills, and role alignment within the organization.)
- Bonus Eligibility: Eligible for AGS’ quarterly performance-based bonus program (Attendance, Aptitude, Attitude), consistent with other hourly production and warehouse roles. (4 - 10% of base annual salary)
