About the role

The Cycle Counter is primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient handling and counting of merchandise. This position collects and analyzes data to ensure accuracy and corrects data and/or merchandise if an error is identified. The role involves recording required information on RF devices and products, as well as entering key data into warehouse management systems, spreadsheets, and databases. All associates must meet certification requirements for operating machines that lift the operator up to 30 feet, including compliance with OSHA and harness regulations.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Pay

Base rate: $21.00 per hour, with a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Pay is issued bi-weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate lift power equipment within the distribution center, including scissor lifts, swing reach trucks, reach trucks, order pickers, and any other machines as needed.
  • Safely utilize a ladder to facilitate counting items.
  • Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at the beginning of each shift, including checking for damage and reporting malfunctions to a supervisor immediately.
  • Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights in a safe manner, maneuvering through tight spaces and around pedestrian traffic.
  • Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment, refer defects or needed repairs to the supervisor, and clean equipment.
  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while reading, writing, operating an RF device, conducting business-related mathematics, and analyzing data as required.
  • Report problems to the supervisor, manager, safety director, or HR manager.
  • Follow daily procedures and protocols as outlined in job orientations and trainings.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of previous equipment operations experience (highly preferred).
  • Basic proficiency in speaking and understanding English to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills, and communicate effectively in emergencies.
  • Ability to meet certification and operating requirements for machines, including all OSHA and harness regulations.

Physical Demands

  • Required to stand (stationary position) and walk during scheduled hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays in accordance with labor regulations.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to communicate using various methods.
  • Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling, and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly, 25-40 pounds occasionally, and over 40 pounds seldomly, with or without assistance.
  • Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally, with assistance as needed.
  • May be required to temporarily work in other locations with different physical demands based on business necessity.
